This Trade left a Pitt in my Stomach…

Okay, it really didn’t.  I just had to get the obligatory joke about making a cross-country trade with a Pitt alum out of the way.

Many of you know how much I love the Upper Deck Canvas cards.  Last weekend, I came across a post in the Hockey Cards group that I’m in that had this beauty.

I messaged Luke and asked him to take a look through my bucket to see if there was anything he was interested in.  Luckily for me, he found three cards that he liked.  I took a look through his bucket and found a couple of other cards that I was interested in.

I’ve eyed these before at shows, but was never willing to spend the cash on them.  At one show, there was a drawing for show credit and I hung around 20 minutes or so in attempt to win.  There were only a handful of people in there at that time, so my odds were good.  I’d decided that I was going to “spend” the credit on one of these, but unfortunately, I wasn’t the winner.  Good things come to those that way, and finally I have one.

I already have two or three of these, but any time I can get them as a final card in a deal, I jump on the chance.  I was very impressed with Klingberg this season and will enjoy watching him for years to come.  The Stars felt the same way I did and gave him a seven year contract extension.

Thanks for taking a look!  If you like what we’re doing, please follow us on Facebook and Twitter and also look through some other pieces on the site.  I’m still looking for more folks that would like to contribute, so let me know if you are!  You can follow me on Twitter at@kin_kinsley@beansbcardblog and @DFW_Card_Shows.
