Cards From (Close To) My Hometown

Yesterday I wrote about how my hometown is now a hobby wasteland.  There are no card shops and no card shows.  I met up with my friend and former BBB co-blogger Jason (@preservehobby on twitter) , his lovely wife and son for dinner one evening.

For years he and I have sent cards back and forth.  It’s trading, but it’s not agreeing to what cards each sends.  It’s just I send him stacks and he does the same.  We each handed each other about 50 cards.

He ended up with some assorted Pirates and Mets.  It was heavy with some Chrome Sapphire cards from a few years ago, as well as some Bobby Bonilla buybacks I’d bought to send him.

Here’s my end of the trade.  Enjoy!

If you shop online and haven’t signed up and used ebates yet, you’re missing out.  I also use it on eBay to get money back from purchases there.  Between referrals and cash back, I’ve gotten over $215 in a little more than a year.  FREE CARDS!
