Basketball cards were still somewhat new to many collectors in 1990 and Skybox was a brand that showcased cool photos merged with some unique backgrounds. This set is iconic because it was different and a premium brand upon its release but today it’s merely a nostalgia purchase for collectors as the rookies from this set can usually be found in the dollar bin.
