Military Missions In Action

Hobby Family – Help Out Military Missions In Action

I’m writing this to encourage everyone in the hobby, or that just reads this, to do something small and raise a few bucks for Military Missions in Action. I saw a tweet from Ivan (@watchthebreaks) not long ago and decided to jump in.  If you know me, you know that I like to help out when I can in the hobby.  In the past I’ve written hoping others would contribute to Go Fund Me accounts for a couple of folks in our hobby that could use the help.  I’ve also raised funds and ordered cards for a youth hockey program in Canada.  I just try to do a few positive things with my platform. What’s happening this time?  There’s a post on Freedom Card Board asking folks to post an item for auction with a starting bid of 99 cents and select the option to donate all proceeds to MMIA.  I encourage you to read it, consider joining and also POST A LINK in the forum so others can see.  FCB is also matching the donations, up to $500!

How Can You Help?

There are two obvious ways.
  1. Sell something.  If you don’t have any cards to put up for auction, what about something else you don’t need?  Most of us have some old jeans or tees we don’t wear anymore.  You could sell those.
  2. Look at the Freedom Card Board thread and find something to bid on.
If you don’t see anything you’re interested in, perhaps look at the other items folks have and support those that are posting these auctions.  There has to be something you’d like and you’re really still supporting Military Missions In Action, in my opinion. I’ve already posted two items for sale on our eBay page.  Within a couple of minutes I had a bid on one and also sold another item from my page.  Maybe they were related? IMG_E0753 Anyway, these are the two items I listed.  Please consider bidding and helping out a great cause. 2019 Topps 150 Years Commemorative Patch Rhys Hoskins & Barry Larkin 2019 Topps Series 1 Gold #281 Jeff McNeil Rookie RC /2019 I hope that every person that reads this can find a way to help.  We need to support those that defend our freedoms and the groups like Military Missions In Action. If you’d like to support my side hustle, please take a look at my eBay store and see if there’s anything that strikes your fancy. One way for you to make money is to sign up and use ebates. If you haven’t yet, you’re missing out on FREE MONEY.  I also use it on eBay to get money back from purchases there.  Between referrals and cash back, I’ve gotten over $300 since I joined in October 2016 between purchases and referrals.  FREE CARDS!

  1. Thanks for the S/O Beans! Not sure if you saw, Freedom Cardboard is also providing a $500 MATCH of how ever many funds are raised, so let’s make sure we reach that goal!!!
