Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford has been much maligned over his career. In round one of the playoffs, he was pulled in favor of Scott Darling after getting shelled in games one and two. That seems like weeks ago and Crawford appears to have found his stride. Last night he stopped all 30 shots that he faced, earning the #1 Star of the Game. Chicago only managed one goal, but walked away with the 1-0 victory and a 3-0 series lead.

Blackhawks Game 3 Celebration
Today’s card of the day isn’t some expensive rookie card, but instead one that I picked up through a trade on Sports Card Forum and just received last week.

They don’t have a high book value, but a lot of collectors like the Upper Deck Canvas cards. Book value is only $3, but they give collectors a slight nostalgic feeling. They aren’t cardboard like the cards of my youth, but they are a lot closer than most. They are also great for getting autographed.
If the Blackhawks are going to win the Stanley Cup, they need Crawford at the top of his game. He looks it now, but that’s why they play the game.
