The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported yesterday that Josh Harding is expected to retire at just 30 years old. For those that don’t follow hockey, Harding was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in November 2012. Shortly after, he vowed to “not just overcome this, but really succeed with it.” While it didn’t last long-term, he was indeed able to succeed with it.
Upper Deck worked with Harding, producing a limited edition autographed card, to inspire hope and raise awareness for Harding’s charity.
Harding has just two true rookie cards, one which is numbered. He has been a good signer for the card companies and has plenty of autographs available online.
Though he will never read this, best wishes to Josh in dealing with MS. Fight the good fight, young man!
