On the bright side, when I got home today another addition to the project was waiting on me.
I did some work on Sports Card Forum last night and updated my Andrew Shaw collection in the Inventory Manager. I hadn’t updated it in almost a year and had not accounted for all the Shaw multiples that I have listed on COMC. This card brings me to 125 unique Shaw cards (out of 179) listed in the SCF database. I currently stand at 69%, but 33 of the cards I don’t have are 1-of-1s and I’m missing one each of cards serial numbered to 3, 5 and 6.
The bad news happened earlier in the day. A month ago, I won a Shaw Net Cord /25 from the 2015-16 SP Game Used product. I emailed this morning and asked if he knew when it was mailed. Within an hour or so he replied that he’s had a few cards coming to the States end up “lost” and that he’d refund my money. He did, but it’s not the money I want, it’s the card.
All I can do now is hope that it arrives (and I will send him the money back) or that another comes available. I’m not holding my breath that the former will happen.
