PACK BUSTING: 1991 Classic Best Baseball

The 1991 Classic Best set was my first real exposure to minor league cards, other than some team sets.  I don’t believe it was the first nationally released-in-pack set, but it was among the first.  Who else remembers opening these bad boys thinking they were a gold mine?

  1. I remember busting open packs of this stuff when I worked at my LCS. It was cool finding cards of our beloved San Jose Giants and of course looking for the Ivan Rodriguez card.

    1. I’m sure that had to be fun. During the 1990s Minor League baseball boom, I always wondered why and hated that my hometown didn’t have a minor league team. That would have been SO fun. Morgantown finally got a team, after I moved away.
