This was my third mailday from Sammy (@bqaggie on Twitter). As always, it was a great deal!
This was the card that started the deal. I know Carcillo does some stupid, and dangerous, stuff on the ice. For some reason though, I took a liking to him soon after joining the Blackhawks. Maybe this is why:
Anyway, a couple of years ago I decided to try and pick up all of his Blackhawks cards. It ultimately was put on the back burner. After coming to a point where there’s only a few more cards I need for The Andrew Shaw Project, and getting back into trading, I thought I’d pick Carcillo back up. I didn’t until I saw this one, though, and added it to the few Carcillos that I have.
I picked up a few additional items as well.
I picked this one up in case I need it for the set. I may not even need it, but if I don’t, I can trade it off. I’ve been (very) passively working on putting together the entire Blackhawks Rings set over the last couple of years.
Clendening isn’t even with the Blackhawks anymore, but I figured at the time that they were good pickups. Hindsight is always 20/20, and now I will probably just put them into my traders bucket and see if someone else is interested.
These two I picked up for my friend Matt. I’ve picked up a few smalls for him when I’d made trades. These aren’t exactly the ones that you want to pick up on eBay and pay $3 to ship.
These two were picked up just to be traders. Nothing big, but I’m sure that I can find them a nice home north of the border.
This one was picked up just to throw into upcoming, not-so-secretive, gift to the wifey. She’s at least taken an interest in cards since we’ve been together. She’s a Stars fan, so I pick her up some cards from time to time.
Finally, Sammy added these two in. I’ll give you one guess where that Seguin is going…
