This oversized card was another random find at a postcard show. I didn’t know anything about it when I made the purchase, but at the price I was fine with the “gamble.”
Ed Belfour was the goalie on the Blackhawks teams of my youth. This card was released three years before his mainstream rookies. I reached out to Sal from PuckJunk.com for some info on the card and he led me in the right direction.
I can’t find any Befours on eBay for sale or in sales history. Only a couple of “commons” have sales history and sold for $3 each. The entire set goes for around $10. Beckett book value on the Belfour is $10 (commons at $.50).
I’m pretty happy with this pickup. I may pick up one of the sets soon and see if I can have some TTM autograph success with them.
