When I checked the mail yesterday and saw that I had a TTM autograph request back postmarked Atlanta, I was at a loss. I wasn’t sure who it was. Much to my pleasure, I received back three Charley Trippi cards that I sent out just eight days prior.
Through both a TTM group on Facebook and SCF, I learned that Mr. Trippi has had a few incidents of sending back items different than what was originally sent. It happens. I was delighted to see the three cards that I sent to him when I opened the envelope.
I prefer getting vintage cards signed as opposed to the recent legends sets. That made this the most “expensive” request I’ve sent so far. Even picking up low grade cards wasn’t too cheap. It was all worth it, though.
