TTM Success #33 – Like Father, Like Son

I’ve always been a fan of father and son, or other relative, sports cards.  When I began my TTM journey, I hadn’t put any thought into this.  Somewhere between then and now it hit me that it would be cool to see if I could get some of these cards signed by both parties.  I finally have my first.

In my first two batches, I sent to people that not only had a good reputation for signing, but also for signing and returning quickly  I wanted to get off on the right foot with success.  One of the earlier successes I had was from Ned Jarrett.   If you look at that post and then this picture, you can see the progression.  It’s now signed by both!

I’m just as excited about the second card that Dale Jarrett signed because it’s another one for my project.  I love the 2000 Press Pass Techno/Retro set because of the look, combination of modern and legend drivers and some drivers that have also competed in the Indianapolis 500.

I need to put together an actual count of how many of these I have signed now.  It’s only a 36 card set and I’m probably at a quarter of the set now.  There will be some challenges and it’s a project that is probably impossible to complete.  I will do my best, though.

If you’re curious, it was only took a month before it came back.

  1. Very cool! For more than a decade my only multi-signed NASCAR autograph was the same two Jarretts. In 2015 I was lucky enough to pull a triple signed card to join it.
