Ned Jarrett was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2011, but I know him as a broadcaster and Dale’s dad. That’s just a product of my age. However, his calls of the Daytona 500 made him another of the voices of my youth.
“Gentleman Ned” won 50 NASCAR races over his career and the 1961 an 1965 titles. After his racing career, he left the sport before later returning as an announcer. What I remember him most for is his calling the end of the 1993 Daytona 500, won by his son Dale.
The 2000 Press Pass Techno/Retro is another autograph checked off my list. The card with Dale has already been sent on it’s way to get it signed by him as well.

I always enjoyed Ned as an announcer. The video you posted was pretty special to watch
