When I was a young’n…I was an Auburn fan.
I grew up in West Virginia but was born in Alabama, into a family of Tigers. There are pics of me in Auburn gear from when I was very young. I liked the Mountaineers, but for awhile, Auburn was my team. Pat Dye was the Head Coach when I discovered the joy that is college football.
When I started working on a TTM Autograph collection and saw that Coach was a willing signer, I had to send him something. Despite him sounding like an out-of-touch, rather bitter man when he’s on the Paul Finebaum show, I still have a lot of respect for him. This came back to me in less than two weeks.
