There is a gentleman in the “Vintage Football Cards” group on Facebook that will often post cards (not for sale) “in remembrance” on the anniversary of their passing. That’s what gave me the idea for today’s card of the day.
I have little interest in the current NFL, but when I was really into it, I was a big Cleveland Browns fan. That made this selection an easy one for me.

Groza won EIGHT titles as a member of the Browns. He was the team’s placekicker and tackle, and also sold insurance. When he retired from football, he held the record for extra points, field goals and career scoring. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1974.
I hope that you enjoyed the look. Please check back tomorrow for another!
