As Lee Corso Says: “Not So Fast, My Friend.”

Practice begins tomorrow for the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500.  Brian Vickers isn’t in the field, but was rumored to be in a car as recently as a month ago.

I don’t watch much NASCAR, but Vickers is a guy a like.  I mean, he took out Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. to win his first race!  I figured I’d be preemptive and pick up an autograph even those he didn’t officially have a ride for the 500.  He won’t be in this year, but where there’s smoke, there is typically fire.  I wouldn’t rule out a future run.

Even if he never runs the 500, I won’t be disappointed to have these autographs.

  1. I love it when NASCAR guys attempt – it’s always interesting to see how they adapt and it invariably draws more attention. Along those lines, it’d be cool to see Kurt Busch try the double again too.

    1. Agreed. I WISH that it wasn’t such a big deal and didn’t help so much, but it is and does. Things look great for this year with the 100th Running. I just hope that they can put on an epic show and continue the momentum into the 101st Running and on.
