Sometimes the best laid plans don’t come to fruition. I can’t argue that I got this autograph, it’s just really not where I would have preferred.
The plan was to get this card signed by brothers Bobby and Donnie Allison. I have a previous return from Bobby and know he is a fantastic signer. So, I decided to sent to Donnie first. However, when I got it back…
Unfortunately, Mr. Allison signed the card that I sent (right) on the back. I will go ahead and send it to Bobby as well and we will see if he signs the front or back. Undoubtedly it will be a fantastic piece either way, but it would be awesome to have them side-by-side.
The card on the left is one that comes back to you when you send to either Bobby or Donnie. What I love about it is that it also has an image of his Indianapolis 500 experience. I would love to find a card that has the two of them in their champ cars, but I will likely take that wish all the way to my grave. It ain’t happening.
